ø THE LONGEST DAY

The Longest Day which was the most expensive U$10million black-and-white war film was rolled out in 1962 based on a history book regarding "D-Day", the invasion of Normandy on 6 June 1944 during World War II, written by Cornelius Ryan, titled The Longest Day. A huge cast of star actors were featured together with the military consultants and advisors who were actual war veterans involved in 'D-Day' were also portrayed in the film. Music was composed by French composer and conductor Maurice Jarre (1924-2009).
